Have been going to Thredbo now for years and I must say they have slowly improved so many aspects of the village the ski feeling.

Tobogganing banned here & Perisher, next you will need a permit to walk in the village, this is an absolute joke! Visit Falls or Hotham if you want to undertake an extreme sport like tobogganing!

Thredbo and Perisher refuse to acknowledge reality and move this weekend on a week or two, to a time when there is actual snow on the ground. In the seven years that I have lived in Canberra there has NEVER been natural snow on the...More

Park your car and leave it for the rest of your stay. Climb the highest mountain of Australia in summer. Learn to ski in winter. Have a meal. Relax.

I guess I always go to Thredbo with pleaseure. The village has a good feel, the coffee is good, the Kosciusko Express takes you to almost 2000m altitude in a few minutes. I am also going with trepidation about the state of my credit card....More

The stone paths and shops make this quite pretty, village atmosphere was friendly, wooden bridge across the Thredbo river lots of things for children to do in the playground

There is no other place like Thredbo. It has something to do all year. Winter is obviously all about the skiing\snow boarding with the best and longest runs in Australia.Summer is different but just as good with great hikes, mountain biking, cycling, running, gold, tennis,...More

great place for an autumn break. Much cooler than the coast in April. Plenty of places open to eat, drink, read the paper. Also the launch pad for alpine trekking.

Absolute overpriced tourist trap. Restaurant/cafe food is unbelievably expensive. Try and stay somewhere with a kitchen and cook your own, and bring your own grog. You’ll save a fortune. That aside yes it very pretty in summer or winter.

Good for myself as a intermediate skier, but for my partner as a biginer i would recommend on of the other it's as not a lot of easy runs for them. But i loved the long runs

If you want to be sure of good snow, go in July or August. There's nothing more disappointing than arriving for your holiday to find bare ground. It will certainly cost you less to go in June but it's a false economy if... More
