Stopped here as a start to our wine route for the day - down a dirt road and can only see the sign if you come from Wollombi otherwise you miss it. Artwork and wines in the lovely old shed, small variety for tasting.

Lovely estate and the owner Peter is an informative and friendly man. The Shiraz/chambourcin blend is the best wine I have ever tasted in my life I really suggest everyone try this wine.

While visiting Wollombi we decided to stay at Undercliff Winery which also has a B&B cabin. The cabin was built in 1846 and although its quaint exterior is intact it boasts modern conveniences and comfort. It was a very relaxing weekend and hard to leave. Make sure you visit the winery and taste the excellent wines produced on site, better... More

We arrived Friday after work to have Peter the owner & his beautiful dog Tallen waiting for us, we had some wine tastings first & headed upto our cottage. One way to describe it is beautiful & rustic. Open log fire, kitchen has all you need, basic accommodation, but it's the original 1800's homestead. It was wonderful just sitting back... More

First on our wine tour was the Undercliff. Very charming surroundings and owners. The wine was delicious and they had a very interesting and delightful Shiraz/Chambourcin blend. Lots of cute items and trinkets inside worthy of a look. Peter was very knowledgable on his craft too.

This trip it was my first wine tour. He was very helpful, taught me how to taste wine and has a wide knowledge on wine. Great wine too! Scenery is great and perfect for a wedding 😍

This place was the most run down winery I've visited in the whole of Australia. On top of that the person working there was extremely unfriendly. They advertise a picnic area with statues which is a joke. A couple of old timber benches and tables with fake kangaroos in the distance. Don't go there.

Dropped in again to pick up their very good aged semillon. Have tied it before and it is great. An interesting place which is different from most (and often dull) wineries. Friendly, helpful service. Will return when I need to restock.

Wow this must be a best kept secret in the hunter valley. We were looking for the perfect getaway and found Settlers cottage on the Undercliff vineyard. We sat by the open fire enjoying the sparkling Shiraz made at Undercliff's very own winery which we explored courtesy of our hosts. We awoke to the songs of birds and had a... More
