Everything about this place casts a spell -- the single track, the quaint station, the passenger car, the open-air car, the caboose, the engine, the gregarious staff -- all of it. But that is just the prelude. What makes the trip special is the landscape -- they claim it is varied, and it is. What they don't tell you is... More

This little railroad off the beaten path is a great little location for those with children or a quick little couples outing. They feature events for holidays such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas. They also have a wine and cheese train for couples and friends. Everyone is very nice and amazing people and they all "volunteer", yes volunteer, this little... More

This little historic volunteer railroad is a gem and deserves your visit. I have been riding the train here since I was a baby and hope to continue visiting until I keel-over. Great train ride through woods, along a stream, by fields and an orchard.

Great little railroad for young kids. The train ride is just long enough so the kids don't get bored.

very nice small railroad - occasional steam trains but usually a diesel engine. the station is a work of art. Kempton is a tiny village (feed mill, pub and a few houses). the trip is about 6 miles up to Wanamakers and back - they have open wagons and some classic oldies with bamboo seats HIghly recommended and great for... We discovered this place by chance on Google looking for a train ride for the kids and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed at all! Great experience, the kids really enjoyed it and so did us adults. The staff is exceptional here - I believe most, if not all, are volunteers. They were all super friendly,... More

Stopped by and this little spot is very nice. Clean and manicured. Nice trains and has rides on Sundays. There are shops onsite. Worth an hour or so to explore.

I couldn't give them a 5 star because they were not running the day we were there. I did get to talk for a few minutes to the family who were hard at work getting the decorations done for the Easter run Very nice and friendly people. The train station is beautiful. The cars are a bit old . There... More
