I tell everyone that they should visit. It's not a difficult walk but if you want a more challenging hike there are other paths that you can take. When you get to the view you want to take a ton of pictures because it's amazing!

This was a short little hike to a beautiful overlook. Please note that if you are driving north the turn off can be tricky because of the traffic. The parking lot is small and you come on it quickly. Tennis shoes worked fine, but the...More

We had a great walk up to Chickies Rock County Park main overlook. It was a simple incline in regular shoes and rewarded us with lovely views.

It was about a 0.6 mile walk from the parking on Rt 441. Not a hard walk. Kids were out on the cliffs smoking and hanging out. It's a pretty view overlooking the Susquehanna, but we've seen others just as nice.

We had a beautiful February day so my wife and I visited Chickies Rock. We've heard about it but it was our first visit. The Riverview and Heritage Trails provided some enjoyable hiking/walking.

Ten years ago this had a great overlook where you could see the whole valley, complete with bridges crossing the susquehanna river, and across the river to York, PA. I was there a while back and the trees had really overgrown and obscured that amazing...More

We loved the short hike and enjoyed the stunning view. We went right before sunset. The signs were a little confusing, but we figured it out. Though it was beautiful to see the sky right before sunset, the sun was super bright and it was...More

The view from here is fabulous, watching the sun drop down towards the river, framed by woods on each side. My kids loved the freight train that went by the base of the overlook while we were there.
