The town of Mt. Gretna is so beautiful and such a great backdrop for the fabulous productions that are held there. Went to see Tarzan this past summer and the cast was top-notch and the show was enjoyed by everyone in our group (young children, teens, and adults.) One of the best regional theater companies that I have seen! I... More

Always wonderful programming all summer at this wonder outdoor theater in the woods. We try to get there several times during the summer or music, plays, concerts or kids productions.

The Mt Gretna Playhouse is an open air theater in one of the most beautiful and unique settings imaginable--a real 'Bridagoon' here for well over a century. Joining the Chautauqua movement in the 1890's, Mt Gretna is a haven of charming cottages, art, culture, music and theater in the middle of a lovely and tranquil mountain forest. The playhouse provides... More

We went to the Sunday 2pm showing of The Little Mermaid, it was great!! The show was so well done for a small theatre. The theatre itself is great, the staff was great, overall a great time at the Gretna Theatre we will be back!

My sister and I went Sunday to see The Pianomen, A Tribute to Billy Joel and Elton John. All I can say is it was great. Now for the theatre itself, praise to the venues it brings, the setting in a beautiful area, great viewing from most seats. However, the seats themselves leave much to be desired. Picture the middle... More

This is a nice outdoor theater in a private lake community. It does have protective plastic curtains if the weather is bad. The acoustics are very nice, seats relatively comfortable. The show I saw was very nice. They have a small refreshment stand with basics. Restroom for the ladies is tiny so you are in for a long wait at... More

Always a great show at the Gretna Theatre. Saw the Motown Review this year - excellent! It's a small outdoor theatre and with some shows being one night only, I recommend getting your tickets early!

The seats at this theatre are too small if you are more than a few pounds overweight. At 225 I couldn't get my backside into them. My back was killing me by the end of the first act, I choose to stand through the end of the show. Several ushers urged me to go sit, but nobody offered a folding... More

The theatre is great, not a bad seat in the house, the people who run it are friendly and warm. We recently saw the Wizard of Oz and the production was terrific.

What an interesting place. Loved the indoor/outdoor theater experience. Production was good, acoustics were great, our seats were wonderful. Will definitely return.
