Came here after the last snow storm to sled. This is always a great time and have been doing this since I was a kid. Beautiful lake for fishing, and canoeing. Great paths to bike, jog, scooter, skateboard along. Playgrounds, grills, geocaches. Wildlife is all around. Eagles, deer, fox along with fish, and ducks. Great place to take photos or... More

I had not been to Peace Valley Park and decided that during the unseasonably warm February we've had to take my dog up there and go for a walk. On the day I was there (likely due to the nice weather) it was jam packed. In most spots, the trails are not wide so if you have a stroller with... More

An oasis. Wonderful any time of year, as others have said, though they don't clear the path during winter, so bring appropriate shoes. Fun for walking, running, biking, xc skiing, meditating, picnicking, and recharging. I've seen people fishing, sailing, floating overhead in hot air balloons, and of course, photographing the plethora of wildlife that call the lake home. I come... More

This lake actually covered several mines that had copper, lead, silver and iron.... plenty of benches along the bike, walking trail. Picnic tables through, a boat ramp and a beautiful setting.

Even our drizzly walk was beautiful. Paved and unpaved paths wind close to the lake. Shimmering water and the canopy of trees changing color was simply lovely. There was a large family party at one Pavillion and a wedding at another. Even with so much activity, our walk was quiet enough to see large water fowl--gorgeous! My only criticism is... More

Lake Galena at Peace Valley is tucked away in the woods outside of DOYLESTOWN. The park offers a jogging/walking/biking trail covering the entire circumference of the lake. It is approximately 6 miles around. There are picnic areas and entrances on both sides of the lake with plenty of parking and rentals for paddle boats, kayaks and canoes. There is no... More

Great place 12 months a year. Beautiful , great varied running trail 6 miles, great picnic facilities, nature museum. Park personnel ...hmmm. Running trail remains iced over for weeks when it snows...could be easily cleared...saw an elderly guy who came every single day in the winter to feed an injured goose trapped and iced in. "Ranger" spoke with the guy... More
