What a unique and wonderful adventure. We gathered at 7:00 PM with about 10 other folks and our 3 guides and proceeded out into the darkness along the paved roads and walkways in search of the elusive owls. We knew what we were looking for because the walk was preceded by a 30 minutes introduction to the evening plans along... More

Spend 45 mins walking the trails. Enjoyed the walk on a fall afternoon but no flowers were in bloom due to the season. The trails were easy to walk and there were not too many people walking around which was nice. Will be back in June to see the flowers.

We went there for a stroll on a Sunday late morning. The Preserve was fairly empty with visitors when we got there. It's like we had the whole place by ourselves. (There were more visitors when we left.) Leaves were changing colors. It's very enjoyable to walk along different trails and take in all the beautiful images. Because it's in... More

I enjoyed strolling through the Preserve. The woman in the Visitors Center was very informative & had many pamphlets on the local plants. There were certainly some very picturesque spots along the trails, but for me personally I was hoping for longer, more strenuous trails. The trails here are very easy walking. I would return during the blooming season (June/July)... More

A friend of ours planned a Renaissance/Medieval-themed wedding here, and the location was just perfect. Most of the guests dressed for the occasion, everyone had a great time, and the old buildings and surroundings made it easy to get caught up in the moment.

By keeping the deer out, they have literally "preserved" the native plants of eastern PA. There are several trails to choose from, they are all awesome. Go slow and read the signs (small plaques) that tell you about what it is you are looking for. Stop by in the spring and fall for their native plant sales (they are fundraisers... More

We love this place. So serene. Certain times of the year, it's heavenly. If you enjoy the outdoors and nature, this is the place to go.

This is just a wonderful family or couple adventure to take! You can check out the preserve or walk the Hill at Bowman's Tower and see the magnificent Tower itself. But I have to warn you, it's quite a exercise walk! But the scenery is worth it all!

A wonderful hike through trails and water falls. Lots of birds, and identified trees and plants. A great information center with brochures and articles are available as well

We visited since it was close to where we were staying. We had a pleasant walk in the woods. The wildflowers were not as evident in August but those plants in bloom were nice. We decided to come back next Spring to see it when more plants are blooming.
