- Glen GBelvidere, New Jersey14 contributionsA great old iron bridgeWhat can I say except that this is a bridge from a bygone era which spans the Delaware River between the wonderful towns of New Hope Pa and Lambertville NJ. Have both driven and walked this bridge many times. The view, up and down the river, is wonderful and so many couples stop near the middle to take a nice picture. If you find yourself oneither side of this bridge, I highly recommend thst you take a walk across to the other side.Visited February 2020Written 12 February 2020

- P F BEdison, New Jersey1,661 contributionsWorth the walkHave walked across this bridge on numerous visits to Lambertville-New Hope. Great way to cross the river from Lambertville to New Hope or vice versa. If you plan on visiting both towns, no need to drive across - just park in one town and walk across the bridge to the other town. The walk across the river is scenic with great views of the Delaware River. And great for car watching too.Visited November 2020Written 12 November 2020

This is the Walking/Driving Bridge between Lambertville NJ and New Hope PA. This is the best way to walk between New Jersey to Pennsylvania. Walking between the two towns allows you to explore both sides. Both have restaurants, shops, etc... We took the canal tow path bike path and parked and walked around. The views from the bridge are nice in the fall with the foliage.

We enjoyed a walk over the bridge from Lambertville to New Hope. It is always fun to be visit a state border and be able to straddle yourself from one state to another. The views and photo ops from the bridge were very nice. You can enjoy the walk from either side to the other, as both sides have great small towns with shops, dining and artsy establishments.

There are 2 bridges-New Hope-Lambertville Bridge and the New Hope-Lambertville Toll Bridge. The New Hope-Lambertville Bridge (Walk/Drive-2 lane-East Bridge). This bridge is very cute. The views on both the PA and NJ sides are amazing. Both sides have very nice food stores and quaint stores. They people are so nice. This is our first time visiting New Hope in detail as well as Lambertville. We had a great time. Lovely weather.

Yes it’s only a vehicle and pedestrian bridge but nevertheless a neat way to easily walk from one cool town to another and into another state too.
Believe it’s only about 1/4 mile long but on a nice sunny day, like this past Friday, a perfect way to explore Lambertville while keeping the car parked. Great photo ops from bridge up and downstream. If you’re lucky and the river isn’t too high, you can catch the turtles sunning themselves on the concrete pads at water level. The halfway mark showing the border of PA and NJ is also a frequent photo op. Just a fun walk.

We walked across the bridge and watched people boating and water skiing. Plenty of room for walkers and bikers. You must walk you bike.

Can I cross bridge at night as I love nice and quiet places ?

The 202 toll bridge is 4 lanes across coming into PA and you will pay a toll. Going out of PA there is no toll. The road narrows to 2 lanes in PA and expands to 4 lanes in NJ. Speed limit is 55. The other bridge is between Lambertville NJ and New Hope PA and is about a mile south of the toll bridge. It is free and often very busy, especially on weekends. I like driving between the river towns if I am not in a rush.
