Any trip to Pittsburgh should include the obligatory trip to the Strip District. Lots of fun places to shop and good places to eat. Plan on taking a couple of hours to enjoy and soak in the culture of the ‘burgh.

We were pleased with the number of choices of restaurants to choose from. Making a choice was a little harder. We opted for a bar atmosphere and ended up at Bar Nine. Excellent Choice

My friends and I go to the Strip for grocery shopping, coffee, and dining with great regularity. Always a favorite stop

If you visit Pittsburgh make sure you ascend to this point and you can look over the three rivers, Point Park, both stadiums, the beautiful downtown buildings, and don't forget to bring your camera.

How does one describe the strip district. It is gritty but so so much more. It is lively, it is Pittsburgh, it is friendly, it is Pittsburgh and it is fun. Good places to shop and good places to eat and great people to meet.

Reminded me a lot of a cleaner canal street. People selling stuff on the street. Great restaurants and places to buy knickknacks to take home for the family.

We had a great time shopping! There are so many wonderful stores to browse. I love the Allegheny Coffee Company and Wholly's fish market! If you're going on a Saturday, try to get there early. Don't miss the great baked goods and wonderful chocolate store.

I have found far fewer vendors during the week. There are store fronts though, but I never go to the Dtrup during the week unless I am going to the fish market specifically.

There were several musicians on the street. I didn’t see any permits but can’t say they didn’t need them.

I wasn't there on Friday so I don't have first hand knowledge. I can tell you that in general everything in Pittsburgh (the areas we visited) seemed to close WAY earlier than I'm used to. It was hard to find a place to eat... More
