This was an interesting experience from a historical point of view. It is a brief ride in a hot, stuffy, crowded, oversized rail car. There is a panoramic view from the top, but beware of the self appointed and unofficial "guides." Some are handsomely dressed...More

We took the incline up to Mt. Washington to do some running in the morning. The view is stunning at sunrise and the people that operate the incline are extremely friendly. We did it again and again.

This is our first time on the Incline and what an experience. We loved the view at the top. This is a family friendly ride. And the price is so reasonable. We loved it.

Affordable. Pretty. Fun. Make time to go hang at the top. The workers are a little burly. Signage of where to go is hard to find. But whatever Still a worth it ride.

Knowing the history makes it even more enjoyable. The views at the top are amazing, especially at sunset. The ride itself gives a great view if you sit the right direction. Definitely worth doing once!

As a native of Johnstown, PA, this Inclined Plane somewhat pales by comparison to its MUCH larger counterpart. But the ride is every bit as enjoyable, and the view from the top is quite spectacular. Have your camera handy.

My wife and I were able to check out the incline, quick and easy. Using the self-service kiosk, we purchased the needed tix to ride the incline. Quick heads up: From the screen, I bought two tickets per transaction (one up, one down) but realized...More

There is ample parking at Station Square at the bottom of the Monongahela Incline. There is also street-side parking on Grandview Avenue (Mt. Washington) at the top of the incline. All parking in Pittsburgh is "pricey".

Not sure about that. We bought tickets at the office. If you did not know, there is a time limit on how long those tickets are good for. Only good for that day a so many hours for that day. The view from the top is great... More
