It was ok, the best part is the view of downtown Pittsburgh from the top. Be aware that the cost to ride is payable in EXACT CASH only. Why, when there is an attendant watching you place your money in the container, but thats the way it is. It was ok, but if we won't do it again.

This was an added bonus to our trip to Pittsburgh! We took a shuttle bus from our hotel, The Hampton Inn...Our driver was awesome and he told us about this ride...It was awesome!! The view going down was fantastic!! We had a clear view of Heinz Field and skyline of Pittsburgh...But be warned!! Make sure you get there early because... More

The best views of the city, and wonderful little shops and places to eat. We did the other incline first and wish we would have skipped it and just did this one. Wonderful experience. One of the highlights of our trip.

No visit to Pittsburgh would be complete without a trip up the Monogahela Incline to take in the grand view from Mt. Washington. A great day would be to combine the Incline with a Gateway River Cruise that leaves from a nearby location

We visited Pittsburgh with the intent of riding both the Monongahela and Duquesne inclines, both have amazing views. Our young son enjoyed the ride on the incline a lot and was excited to reach the top and check out the views. Both inclines have a great view of Heinz Field.

Don't expect anything special with this ride. The view from the rail is not that great. (The attraction is after you get to the top.) The rail stations are not air conditioned, and the windows don't open. There are only two cars with 3 compartments each, and they are also not air conditioned. There's an open grate in the very... This is a type of transportation that we do not have where I am from, so therefore I found this very interesting. It has a lot of history behind it and is a quick and easy way to get to another area of PA to visit. It is very inexpensive and well worth it.

You seen them on TV. You seen them during football games. You must ride it once. Its really no bid deal to ride but its a piece of history. The kids loved it and they got to learn a bunch along the way.
