This incline is easier to get to than the Duquesne one but with it's newer car, it's not as impressive. The observation area is not as impressive.

Nice piece of history, a great view of the city once you make it to the top. It is part of the transit system in Pittsburgh.

No AC on a hot and humid day. Although the lines aren't fast, they are pleasant. There are a couple of shops at the top and wonderful views. Worth the exact change $3.50 round trip

if you are in Pittsburgh, you have to do one of the incline railways. It is a fun little trip and something you don't get to do everyday

For $3.50 round trip per adult, you can catch a 3 minute ride up this old Funicular Railway. It's run by the Port Authority so metrocards would have you covered, otherwise you need to buy a pass at a kiosk which is easy to use....More

There is ample parking at Station Square at the bottom of the Monongahela Incline. There is also street-side parking on Grandview Avenue (Mt. Washington) at the top of the incline. All parking in Pittsburgh is "pricey".
