This museum is full of creative ways to teach children, in particular, and adults as well about many facets of science. Learning is hands-on for the most part. There are 4 floors with different themes which include building structures, the human body, robotics and small live animals. I visited with a 2, 4, and 5 year old. Each of them... More

We have a family membership to the Cleveland Science Center and get free access to this museum. We have visited it a few times while visiting Pittsburgh. I wouldn't say this is the best science center, although it does have a decent amount of sites to see. There are several levels that are accessible by ramps. Some of the exhibits... More

We go here all the time because we have a membership. Kids always have fun. Best things are: shows in the planetarium and the area upstairs with all the balls that move through the contraption & rain on the kids. Submarine is great too! It's a wonderful activity to get the kids out of the house on a winter day.

This would be great to take the kids to. Not much fun for adults without kids. The sub tour can be purchased seperately and it is way cool and worth it.

Not much more to add than it was perfect for our kids. They enjoyed all five (six?) floors and a week later are still talking about the submarine (free with your basic ticket) and robot room. Wanted to add that parking was across the street and only $5. Deal! Lung was your standard science centre pizza and chicken fingers. We... More

It's 20 bucks to get in here and if it weren't for the model train layout I would've asked for my money back. The rest of was sorta lame. No kidding. So the model train layout was actually closed but I wandered in anyway. A nice lady working in there showed me around and demonstrated some of its animation. It... More

I wish we could've spent more time here! We were limited in our time as we didn't arrived until midday, but I could've spent hours on the body floor alone (I'm an RN). There are 4 different floors, all encompassing different scientific areas of interest, from the human body, to robotics, space, and hands-on exploration for kids and adults. I... More

I live right here in Pittsburgh and forgot what a WONDERFUL place this is. We had an out-of-town guest and thought it would be interesting to go. It was! This is great for ALL AGES - they have awesome interactive exhibits. Even the youngest kids can enjoy some great play areas. This is perfect for a rainy day or beautiful... More
