I love the zoo but not in winter. The exhibits were limited. The food choices were more than compromised. Visit the zoo in Spring, or Summer or even Fall. You won't be disappointed.

The Pittsburgh zoo is wonderful for adults and kids. It is a perfect way to spend a full day walking and visiting exhibits. The food is pretty good and the workers are very knowledgeable and available for questions.

Who doesn't love a zoo and Pittsburgh's is no exception. It's a great place to wander as a couple or with family or friends. It's especially do-able with small children - a lot to see 'close-up'. Our very young granddaughter was mesmerized by the Cheetah resting against the glass of the viewing area. Reasonable choices for taking a break, restrooms... More

Old favorite activity for both locals and tourists. Always improving all areas. Wonderful free ranges for many animal species. Marvelous indoor aquarium.

The zoo is rather small but I had a great time. I wish the aviary was incorporated with the zoo and aquarium but I loved every minute of it.

The Pittsburgh Zoo was always one of our favorites. Again if you have small children or friends from out of town, you will want to buy the family pass. There are several times to visit throughout the year. As our children are grown now we tend to only visit in the summer. However, when they were smaller, Fright night during... More

This is a great place to spend the day with your kids. Grounds are nice and habitats for the animals are well done, there is a lot of animal variety. They also have a good aquarium that is part of the zoo

Some of the animals look as though they can roam right out of their habitat but rest assured they cannot! Clean. Beautiful. Informative. Rated very high. The aquarium is amazing too Must see if you are just passing through but as a native Pittsburgher I have seen it grow and develop into a top rated zoo.

We visited thPittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium in July 2016 while traveling up to NY. We went in the late afternoon, which is not our normal zoo time (we're usually early zoo people, but it's when we arrived) and it was not overly crowded. We enjoyed visiting zoo but we unfortunately missed a few things that we wanted to do because... More

The Zoo is a great place to visit and I feel the Pittsburgh Zoo has been upgraded numerous time since I was young. I feel the children's area is still a great attraction for younger ones although my children are now young adults. I think the Zoo has a great program for elephants and gorillas. I believe the Pittsburgh Zoo... More
