Really loved the aviary!!! Wonderful variety of birds, really loved the flamingo and penguins. We spent about 2 hours viewing all the exhibits. The staff was friendly and helpful. We found a coupon for buy one get one free admission so it was really affordable....More
Super fun "bird zoo" randomly located in Pittsburgh. Huge eagles, tiny lorikeets, and everything in between. The large exhibit was closed for renovations but there was still plenty to see. I especially enjoyed the large room with the flamingoes and plenty of other sassy birds....More
It wasn’t that large considering admission was $16.50. It smelled awful. Birds are stinky. Just wasn’t that impressive. Plus we had to pay for parking. The butterfly tent closed earlier than the rest of the place so we didn’t get to see it.
We went as a couple on a weekend. Be prepared for lots of kids. But it wasn’t overly crowded and it was easy to see all the different exhibits. Broken up by habitat, with lots of birds flying among the patrons. The condors, the wetlands...More
