We visited the National Aviary earlier this month right when it opened in the morning. The parking lot seems a bit small for the location. There is a fee to enter. They have penguins, owls, bald eagles and a variety of other animals. Its not...More

Really loved the aviary!!! Wonderful variety of birds, really loved the flamingo and penguins. We spent about 2 hours viewing all the exhibits. The staff was friendly and helpful. We found a coupon for buy one get one free admission so it was really affordable....More

Super fun "bird zoo" randomly located in Pittsburgh. Huge eagles, tiny lorikeets, and everything in between. The large exhibit was closed for renovations but there was still plenty to see. I especially enjoyed the large room with the flamingoes and plenty of other sassy birds....More

Fun to see birds flit from tree to tree. Good photo opportunities for camera hounds. We even did the virtual reality “flying like a bird”. It’s silly, but fun. We enjoyed our time there.

It wasn’t that large considering admission was $16.50. It smelled awful. Birds are stinky. Just wasn’t that impressive. Plus we had to pay for parking. The butterfly tent closed earlier than the rest of the place so we didn’t get to see it.

Took my daughter and Grandson here for their birthdays. What an awesome place. 3 year old to 55 year old and a couple in between. Everyone loved this place. Will be going back here again.

Loved my visit last spring. It had been years since I was there and it is better than I remembered it. Loved the sloth too.

I don't remember it being very hot in the building. Good to note - If you have a membership to other attractions like botanical gardens or zoos, you might be able to get a portion or all of your ticket price covered -- we... More

I have taken a large group through and you could do all of the exhibits in 2 hours. But you could stay longer if you take in one of the bird shows.
