The Pittsburgh Aviary is a great place. It appeals to young and old. Our daughter fell in love with the Aviary, so much so, she had her wedding there. It was fabulous.

We recently visited the National Aviary with our 2 children (ages 7 and 10). Watching the sloth feeding was a hilight as well as watching the penguins. There are so many interesting bird to look at and in some cases you can get quite close to them. A great place to visit!

My family and I love visiting here! There's so many different kinds of avians here, and so much to do and see! They do multiple kinds of shows and feedings with the avians all year. What the avians and staff do is always changing. Everytime we visit it's different. Our boys got to feed and talk to a young snowy... More

A rare glimpse into the true beauty of the world that we have out there that most people do not get to see, I must see when you're in the Pittsburgh area

This place has some great exhibits. The penguins was the highlight of our trip here. Staff was very kind and extremely knowledgeable about the birds and environment.

I love coming here. Wether you decide this is the right place for datenight or you want take your kiddos on a field trip. They have something to enjoy for everyone. You won't regret coming here. They have different exhibitions that are enjoyable for most. Penguins & parrots were my favorite

We visited the aviary on a cold December day. It was nice to find something to do indoors. They have a good variety of birds in many different settings. Example - Wetlands, Grasslands, Rainforest, etc. My favorites were the Snowy Owls. This is a place for kids of all ages.

Great things to see and marvel at. We were at the Aviary about 4 hours. Places to sit, rest, snack and watch the birds and people!

I brought my three-year old daughter with me to the National Aviary, not sure what to expect here. There were plenty of things to do to keep her occupied, with plenty of birds to enthrall her. She especially loved the penguins, as did most kids there - but the Christmas show, while intentionally a bit corny, was cool to see... More

Is very family friendly including young children and strollers. We also had lunch at cafe and they had very decent options including gluten free. I would highly recommend. Does have some outdoor exhibits - plan accordingly in winter!
