Went with my 14 year old daughter, had a great time. It's a different set up than most, three buildings with changing installations, most of which stay for 6-12 months. I'm not the type of person to understand art without a description. Some installations had...More

This space is a place for artists. If you are interested in exploring installation art, this place is your heaven. During my visit I sat with a James Turrell piece and danced in a Yayoi Kusama piece. This factory gives you space to become part...More

I'm sorry but for the high dollar price of admission, it wasn't worth it. 3 different buildings. Not much in any of them. We got so tired in the 2nd building of all the very narrow stairs and uneven floors that 2 of us never...More

The museum is located in a few different buildings. You pay at the main building and then walk to the others. There are elevators in the main building but a ton of steps in the other. Some of these exhibits caused some discussion about what...More

There are 3 buildings. The first had the most pretentious over-written drivel (in poor English) describing the works of art. We spent more time laughing about that than appreciating the art. Building 2 was a lot of fun. Building 3 was just dull. The cafe,...More

This isn't a mattress factory any more (in case you didn't know). It's a flexible space with rotating artists so you never know who you'll see. It's thought provoking and cutting edge - so it's probably good for you, right? Go with a friend or...More

never been to a museum quite like it! thought the gaza experience moving and thought provoking! at other times felt like I was in an old old attic! definitely not handicapped accessible

A neat gem of a place. Be prepared to walk. Parking wasn't all that, but look at where it's located. Some unique sights & teenage niece got good photos for her social media page.

The Mattress Factory is an adventurous museum of installation art. I loved walking through the rooms and absorbing the varied art projects, including Sarah Oppenheimer's remarkable diagonal wedge through two floors, and three James Turrell light pieces. All of this takes place in a very...More

I attended a Wedding here in August. Was a great location for indoor and outdoor events. Guests had access to the eclectic exhibits adding a fun activity to the celebration

You can do it in less if you fly through, but to see and enjoy everything I'd recommend 2-3 hours. Most of that will be in the main building.
