Just a fun time. The water is clean and feels so good on hot tired feet. Plenty of space for all. Didn't feel crowded. We had a child and grandparent with us. Both had a great time

A couple of years ago my co-worker and I saw a bunch of kids having fun here from across the river. So this year I walked across the bridge during a walk and had to have some fun. It's a nice area. My grand kids...More

We were watching the news and there was a story about the Water Steps. I am a life long resident. So we made it a point to go to the North Shore and check it out. Pretty cool. You need to experience it for yourself!

Kids love it. Adults can enjoy the beautiful views of downtown. This free attraction is low tech fun. Adults can sit with their feet dipped in the water while the children play on the stairs..

My girls 10 and 8 had a blast playing in, on and around the water steps! We spent over an hour, splashing, and even played hide and seek. There are plenty of shady and sunny spots for picnicking or watching the activity. There are also...More

I really enjoyed visiting the Water Steps with my three young great-nephews and the kids had a wonderful time. What a cool, low-tech idea! It is so good to see kids away from their video games, televisions and computers, being active outdoors and interacting with...More

This was one of our kids favorite things that we did. We went during the day and even back at night. You may want to pack a towel and it's free, so if it's hot, it may be busy.

I've heard good things from others about the water steps and was heading to an afternoon Pirate game on a hot day and thought I'd give it a try. I'm thankful I packed a bathing suit for my daughter! The water wasn't deep but she's...More

Why shouldn't go too, take of your shoes and put your feet in the water. It cooled down on hot sunny days. Watch kids have fun.

No, your kids won't need them. The joy of the experience is traversing the steps, and sharing the joy with everyone's different levels of wonder. Each young child explores in their own way. I saw kids from less than a... More

You can walk to Point State Park via the I-279 bridge over the Allegheny River. Depending on how fast you walk, it should take 10-20 minutes.
