I cant tell you about a area that has so little to see, that attracts so many people. Seriously, go check it out. Enjoy the fun of it. The whole event will last 5 minutes tops and then the traffic will be hours. But at...More

Gobler's knob is a couple miles uphill from town so don't expect to walk there in February like in the movie. In fact, none of the movie was filmed in Punxsutawney PA. But once you get over that disappointment, Punxsutawney is still a nice town...More

Its a place of historic proportions on Groundhog Day. Every other day of the year its a field and Phil doesn't even live in it. .I can say ive been there at least, even if it wasn't on the big Day.

The exact location where Punxsutawney Phil emerges every February 2nd in front of thousands to either see or nor see his shadow.

Directions easy to follow to find this place. I was concerned by some of the previous posts. Cool piece of history. It looks so different on TV. Now that I've been there will make next Groundhog Day more exciting! Unfortunately no one was there to...More

I was in the area (Dubois), and I thought I would do the quick trip to see this site by myself. It is kind of cool to see live this location as I think I must have seen the movie "Groundhog's Day" about 10 times....More

With the ground hog day being such an annual event and after seeing the Ground Hog day movie several times, I wanted to see where this event took place. It was interesting to see.

First off, there is nothing to do here, you will simply see the stage where PuxPhil makes his prediction. It's such an iconic piece of history, it was really fun to see it and take some photos. Be sure and also go into town and...More

Snow pants would be brilliant. It's freezing and people start showing up between 3 and 4am. Better to wear something that you can take off if you're too hot, than to not have enough layers on and freeze your butt off!

We stayed in clarion which is an hour away. Rates up there were around $100 a night while in Punxsutawney they were around $400 a night over groundhogs day.
