The shorter $10 ride is just fine. You can drive to the farm which really is a nice gift shop at reasonable prices for the area and spend as much time there as you want to.

How far ahead of time should we reserve a buggy ride? We are a group of four adults. 2 from PA and 2 from Mississippi.

You can reserve either on the day that you intend to go or the afternoon before. The four of you might have to share a buggy with others and you may have to wait a while.
