We are rating the mountain coaster which is the only thing we took part in. Our main complaint was the price given the length of the ride. I would say that the ride took about 5 minutes (4 minutes up and one minute down. I am reading here that there are some coupons readily available, but we paid full freight of $15 a person, and for a ride that short it seems ridiculous. Compared to an alpine slide the mountain coaster was pretty rough and not near as thrilling. We have been on alpine slides this length where it cost $5 a ride or $60 for unlimited rides.
All in all we all thought it was fun until we factored in the price.

Horrible
We have been going to camelback for several years. We loved traveling to visit. Paying all that money to ski one day and having to wait 3 hours to get tickedts and rentals is absurd. They should be responsible for discounting the money that you were not on the slopes. Lines varying is NOT an excuse. Staff more people. easy..Paying to park!! REALLY!! pay all that money to wait in lines and have to pay an extra fee to park? Hardly any ski patrol watching the slopes for unsafe skiing and boarding. The previous years were so smooth and so enjoyable. Not this year.

Hello Stacy, we are truly sorry about the experience you had here at the mountain. That wait time is unacceptable and we understand your frustration. We want to reassure you that we do not have a staffing issue and that lines can seem long due to spacing and our safety protocols. Our ski patrol is always watching and they do their best to protect everyone. Again, we would like to apologize for your experience and we want to thank you for your feedback as this allows us to make improvements. We hope this is not the last time we see you on the mountain!

My kids were so excited for the 1/2 Tree Top Tour. Showed up at our assigned time with our vouchers after receiving a confirmation email only to be told that they don’t do this on Tuesdays. The nice guy gave us a free ride on the mountain coaster instead but if you purchase anything from here check and double check because you cannot count on what you are able to get online from their website.

In 2021 Camelback started charging for anyone parking anywhere on the property. Street side parking and unsecured lots. Would rather they charge more for the ride than a money grab to park on the side of the road. No gates to enter parking lot-- just a random man approaches you at your vehicle and asks for payment. So odd and a bit bizarre.

This review is for the 4000' zipline experience. It was a great family experience for mom, dad, and teen girl to share. Best part (for mom): once you sign in at the basecamp and get buckled into your gear, they bus you to the mountaintop release point, where happy and helpful staff secure you and your harness into the system. No heavy lifting required. Remember to smile for the camera when you get to the bottom.

Did the rope course. They no longer have the full course, now only 3 levels. Website says to expect 2-3 hours. We arrived at 11:30, got harnessed and did the first training (how to use the carabiners). Took 30 minutes to get everyone ready to walk to the course. Then another 30 minutes training on how to go through each obstacles and go through the mini learning course. Having done rope courses before, my son and I hurried to be first in line. It took AN hour to finally get started with the real rope course and completed it in 1.5 hours including wait time from the group before us. Course 1 was meh, 2nd & 3rd were fun but it was too short. I was expecting 2-3 hours on the actual rope course and a much bigger workout. Definitely the easiest rope course I have done. We still had fun but know ahead of time that you do each course once then you're done. I prefer the places where you pick the courses you want to do and spend a full 3 hours.

The ride was completely exhilarating. They take the time to make sure that you’re the proper weight and that there’s not too much wind and, take all safety precautions. They actually kicked me off one time because I was too fat, I lost weight and went back. Yeah man, I’m a rockstar. Awesome awesome awesome. Highly recommend

We paid $50 each for the two of us for the 4000 zip line. Both of our zips were very slow and we stopped before reaching the end. They had to kind of reel us in to get off. My husband said the wheel mechanism that they have you carry up to zip on was not well oiled and it was probably faulty ball bearings slowing us down. Not worth it at all. It's over in less than a minute.

We loved the 4000 ft zip line. My husband was the most scared but once you take off it isn’t scary at all. It’s just really fun and scenic. My 9 year old wasn’t afraid so we can’t wait to zip line again. The equipment for the ride was heavy for my son so we had to help carry it. Also the backpack can hold small items on the ride down. Try it, it’s not as scary as it seems! The mountain coaster is fun too. We all enjoyed it but the ride is short and if you have back problems it may cause you pain if you go down without braking much.

What an amazing place for the family. For both young and teen kids. The Guest Staff is really helpful (when technology didn’t work for accessing passes). Friendly staffers like Patrin and Valerie (Aqua Park) and Philippe (ski mountain) were awesome help. I recommend this place for anyone wanting to have a variety of fun options. Two days of riding/skiing then aqua park then back on slopes … the best of both worlds.

Should I reserve in advance for the mountain coaster of I'm planning to go on a weekday at around 11/11:30?

I think you’ll be fine. I went the last week in June on Monday & got my tickets right there for the zip line and mountain coaster with no problem. Maybe call ahead and check in with them to make sure they’re not expecting a summer camp trip or if they think it’s a big vacation week for them. Have fun.

I am going on Monday to the treetop adventure. Did I read correctly that they sell gloves at the park? I couldn’t find any information on the website about that so was going to buy a pair prior to going.
Written 27 July 2019
Yes they solve gloves for 3 dollars a pair. I used them and would recommend them.

I'm planning to take my son and his friends for his bday 3/26-3/27 but I see much is closed for winter season. When does the spring season begin
Written 7 February 2018
You're probably better contacting the Resort for that answer. I do know snow tubing is available and the indoor waterpark, Aquatopia is open through the winter.

I saw that you can book the zip flyer ahead of time online, so I did. Is there any online option to book the Appalachian coaster or the pipeline slide? I couldn't find it online?
Written 10 September 2017
Is the new Pipeline slide open yet? I'm interested but afraid of heights and can't bring myself to go on a chair lift ride. Is there another option to go to the start of the ride? A trail to walk up the mountain or a shuttle, etc?
Written 23 April 2017
Hello! The Pocono Pipeline slide is not open yet. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no other way to get up to the top other than to take the lift for safety reasons!
