We enjoyed the visit here. Our opinion was that this is the better side for picture taking in the afternoon.

Not much going on over on this side BUT we loved it because we commendeered the nice pavilion with the big stone fireplace and made pigs in a blanket (hot dogs in pillsbury dough on a stick that you heat over the fire) and all...More

If you want really good views of the Grand Canyon of PA, then come to this State Park and not Leonard Harrison to the west - the views are so much better here. There is a small Visitor Centre with an interpretive display and a...More

No visitor facilities that we could see. It appears to be primarily for hikers. The one overlook we stopped at had a very limited view of the canyon.

Though Leonard Harrison is the busier of the two parks, this one had the BEST view at the first or second stop. They don't seem to do the upkeep in this one like at Leonard and a lot of the viewing areas, were overgrown. It's...More

We stayed at Leonard Harrison, but drove to Colton Point to see the vistas of the PA Grand Canyon from the west rim (Leonard Harrison is on the east rim.) Worth the drive.

Opposite side of the canyon from Leonard Harrison State Park, however, there is no disappointment here. Winding roads and vista overlooks. Beautiful.

Saturday night and we were the only ones at the 2 vistas. Very few folks allow the great sights to be appreciated. West side.

Well the view was gorgeous but I drove over 6 hours to get here. Then drove 7 miles through the national park before I got there. I drove Rte 6 East until you get to the road right before the Burning Barrel Bar, then drive...More

I really no knowledge of this, however, I would say contacting the State Park Service would be a good place to start probably. You may also find information through the Chamber of Commerce in Wellsboro, Pa.

With the lack of rain this year many rivers are very low. I would check with PA. fish &game website for your answer too.
