- Robin LAdams, Massachusetts177 contributionsexceeded our expectationsWe didn't know what to expect, but this really exceeded our expectations. It didn't seem that big, but it took two hours to go through. Exhibits on Native Americans, military coal, lumber, textiles, and other exhibits connected to the area. Free if you have a NARM pass (North American Reciprocal Museums), otherwise was $9.50 but even that is totally worth it.Visited July 2023Written 15 July 2023

A friend and I stopped in on a whim and ended up staying an hour and a half. A much bigger collection that we expected for a local museum. Some nice art, fashion, tools, period exhibits, lots of trains, fossils, and the very interesting heritage of the lumber industry and millionaires row are presented. Friendly staff. Would return.

Nice little museum that explains local history. I enjoyed learning more about the area while my daughter enjoyed some of the hands on activities, such as learning to play the dulcimer. Her favorite part was the enormous collection of trains in the basement. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. It was a nice way to spend an hour or so.

Went up there for the vintage motorcycle display. That was OK, just a few motorcycles. Now, the train display downstairs was worth the trip. If you have any interest in trains don't miss this! All the trains was one man's collection! The variety and quality is unbelievable.

We went to see an exhibit of vintage motorcycles and were pleased to discover a wonderful museum of local history. The displays are nicely laid out and really give the visitor an appreciation for a past way of life in the Lycoming valley. We highly recomment a visit, as it is time well spent. Also of note, is the extensive collection of model trains that the museum has in the basement.
