I go here with my mom whenever I see her in Newport. She likes this beach. I find it to be nice but sometimes no parking and a long walk to beach. Is ok if you are already there.

This is the least crowded beach in Newport if there is such a thing in the summer time. It is off the beaten path. There are never high waves, that's why probably it isn't that popular.

As a local, I find this beach to be my favorite for its quiet location, and clean sand. I like to walk along the shore in the late afternoon when the beach is mostly deserted. Due to its calm water, it's favored by those w/small...More

We loved Third Beach. The beach is very clean and the water had no rocks or shells in it, which most beaches do, so there was none of the annoyances of the first handful of feet being a problem. The parking is pretty stiff at...More
