If you've never walked the market, then you must do so. Tons of friendly people, and the locals are perfect. Some may complain of the prices, but it's a "flea" type market, so try to bargain the price down. Lots of place to eat in...More

This place is pretty cool. I'm not sure how many city blocks long it is, I think we walked 3. Amazing, neat and cool crafts. Some things I've never seen before. Definitely would go back. Loved the roses made from palm tree leaves.

Always fun to walk through this market. Loaded with local artists and craftsmen. Not high end but you may just find a treasure that speaks to you!

This is the place to go for all those tourist gifts everyone likes to buy. Large variety. Just wish they stayed open later.

This is a must visit location for anyone. You will meet individuals that put their sweat and blood into the art work on display. Some more than others, but that is normally the case. There are a number of local basket weavers here. I am...More

We enjoyed the shopping experience despite the hot summer day. The fresh made lemonade was refreshing. Jamie, a sweet grass basket maker, was super friendly and patient with all of our questions. Should be able to find something for all of the members in our...More

Must go to- so cute to browse, but poor ventilation until you hit the newer part. Always go here and never regret it.

We have visited the French Market in New Orleans and were surprised to see this city market resembled it. However, we found it much nicer in the vendor offerings and the very lovely middle of the market that was air conditioned. I would encourage anyone...More

Amazing market. While it caters to tourists, it is a great place to pick up souvenirs. Sweet grass baskets are the thing to get and you can find plenty of stands that have them. We priced the baskets at other vendors that were not in...More

I am Not sure about that... didn't see any dogs on leashes in the market area. We live here in Charleston but I've never brought our dogs into the market.

Hi, there! If you are going to be at the market or that area for any length of time, I feel that the best place to park is in the nearby ramp. When heading south on Meeting Street, go a block past the market and turn left on... More
