I love the Charleston city market becuase there are all types of vendors selling all types of good, from all backgrounds. The reason I like is so much is the mix of culture and I’ve only got great things from here.

The City Market was recommended by several friends, and I am glad we listened. We went twice, and I don't know that we saw everything. It is such a fun shopping experience, and a wide variety of crafts, food, and vendors. It should definitely be...More

A street long shopping venue similar to a flea market! Lots of interesting vendors and products. Spend some time shopping then grab a bite to eat nearby...great location!

Stating the obvious, we visited in July--so it was VERY hot. Apart from that, however, the market was a great experience. Anyone visiting Charleston should definitely check out the Market in the center of the Historic District. Once you've finished shopping, head over to Henry's...More

There were so many things to pick from while shopping at the old market! The sweet grass baskets were beautiful, expensive though. There were areas that were air conditioned and ateas that were not but we hit on a very moderate weather day so that...More

We got there after a nasty storm as they were closing up. Looked like a nice way to spend a day. There 4 buildings. Didn't appear to have 'used/garage sale' items. Quality items and local arts.

I personally didn’t care for the market area. Your basket cheap looking souvenirs and craft spot. I actually liked the stuff in little shops on the street a long the side of it. It would not be something I would tell people they had to...More

Took a mid-afternoon stroll through the famous City Market, and enjoyed looking through all the vendors’ stalls. Great place to pick up souvenirs or local crafts for gifts! My man picked up an awesome Stetson at the Charleston Hat Man, and the gal took the...More

What a disappointment, each vendor was worse than the next. Ordinary, repetitious, goods, few local artisans, even the basket weavers all sold the same basic goods.

This is a must see in Charleston. Shopping, food, local crafts -fun to walk and browse. Recommend going either early in the morning or late afternoon, especially in the summer - there are areas that aren't air-conditioned and unless you are used to the heat,...More

HI There, I honestly do not know, I would call the hotel and ask them. Best using a car to get around in the area, everything is about .5-1 ml away for good food shopping etc.
