I had visited this museum over 40 yrs ago and was happy I could share something I loved from my youth with my grandson. We enjoyed looking at all of the artifacts and reading the history behind it all.

Great museum to visit for a glimpse into the world of your ancestors who fought in the Civil War. The preservation of books, clothing, weapons etc was astounding.

The museum itself is small but it has a lot of historical items. Almost all the artifacts have a small piece of paper with a brief historical summary next to them. For $5, it is worth stopping by to see this collection. Highly recommended

Revisionist history and exhibits lack any context or background information. Love American history but would not recommend wasting your time here.
