Beautiful Church

THE church of Charleston. Very beautiful, and the bell ringing is beautiful, as well. A must see when visiting Charleston

This is such a beautiful church. The Tiffany stained glass is remarkable There is a pew that is marked where George Washington attended once. Don't leave without visiting the cemetery which is right next to the church. Such a quiet and beautiful area

We ended up at St Michael's at about noon on a Monday. We joined a parishioner for a 10 minute prayer service and she graciously allowed us to sit in the "George Washington" pew. The Tiffany stained glass windows are beautiful.

St. Michael's church is a historical must-see in Charleston. The inside of the church is beautiful and was the church visited by Gen. George Washington in the 1700's. His boxed pew is marked. Walking thru the graveyard is also a must.

Simply beautiful. Inspiring and not to be missed. St. Michael's is an place not to be missed. The windows, the pews, the atmosphere. One gets a sense of the religious history of Charleston while visiting. Don't miss the sweetgrass basket sellers across the street.

Built between 1751 - 1761, the entire church, inside and out, and the related courtyard is a gem to behold. Don't miss examining the Tiffany stained glass windows while enjoying the vaulted history of the church and those that worshiped there, including George Washington.

Stopped at this church as part of a tour we took with some friends. Make sure to sit in Pew #43 where some very important people once sat.

We took the walking footprints tour with Michael and were able to enter this church, The stained glass works are beautiful. Was able to sit in the "pew booth" that George Washington sat in when he visited Charleston. History abounds here, our tour ended here and it was pleasant and thought provoking to sit in the quiet of the church... More
