The market is a must see for all who visit Charlston. There is a multitude of home made products for people to buy. The people are very friendly and answered all questions related to the mercantile that was being sold.

The market is a great place to shop. If you're looking for something to remember your Charleston visit you can find it here. Some items are expensive & some are not. Lots of artists sell their handmade goods here. Some vendors change daily.

It's worth the walk through - briskly of course - and then on to the real vendors and artisans further toward Bay Street in the open markets. The one good part of this attraction - hang out for the air conditioning to get away from...More

We went to the market during the day and came back with our children at night. The night Market had fewer vendors and nothing for children to be interested in. They were hoping to find souvenirs but left empty handed.

Very clean and well kept considering the amount of foot traffic. Love the history and design of the market. Just watch out for traffic if have kids.

A beautiful market but caters mainly to tourists. I prefers someplace that also appeals to locals. The best things is the beautiful handmade baskets.

Too expensive for my budget. Nice to walk through and browse. Roads to it flood if there is heavy rain fall.

A must-visit place if you're going to Charleston. Lots of local, handmade goods, plus there are a few sections that have air conditioning. There are also public restrooms and two sandwich shops if you don't want a sit-down meal.

A market area, part open air, part enclosed. You will find a variety of items available, mostly things that a tourist would be looking for, though some very nice hand crafted items that would be good for anyone. Busy place though, be patient with people...More

Lindy I'm not sure if it is. I can't see why it wouldn't. It's a tourist place so maybe!

Parking is available alongside the market, If you plan to park there I highly suggest you get there very early. Otherwise there is a parking garage located off King Street which isn't too far of a walk to city market. Plus... More

It's an open air market, but I don't recall seeing any and it's not listed as being dog friendly on the Bring Fido website.
