Without a plan, just driving around the Charleston port distric, made a turn here and there and saw the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Being Catholics, my wife and I have to visit and pray in this beautiful Cathedral. We were impressed by the beautiful Last Supper stained glass window behind the main Altar, it was beautiful. I am... We have visited a number of these cathedrals on our recent tour. New Orleans, Savannah and Charleson. This cathedral is slightly darker inside than the others we have visited. Having said that, it is still a beautiful building.

We stopped in late Sunday afternoon about an hour before the evening mass. Lovey church with gorgeous stained glass windows and architecture. If you are in the area, it is worth the visit.

Great place to stop if you are exploring the city. It's cool in there. Has a lot of history and the last supper window over the alter is beautiful.

We went to 9am mass on Sunday and it was just lovely! The church is breathtaking, the ushers were wonderful and the priest gave an inspiring and informative homily. I will be back at every opportunity.

I'm a Charleston native and this is easily one of my favorite churches. Beautiful architecture and liturgy raises the heart and mind towards the heavens. This is the place I bring out of town visitors for Holy Mass.

This cathedral is a lovely example of how a cathedral can be warm and welcoming. The internal decor and arrangements make this cathedral one of the most inviting we have experienced.

This is listed as # 6 on reviews of sites in Charleston, but I don't think it deserves so high a spot, despite its beautiful interior and great acoustics. It is a later church than St Michael's and many others, but has a lovely golden steeple now to thanks to the generosity of Joe Griffith, a member.

St John the Baptist is a very nice Catholic Church inthe historic district. Beautiful interior and very attractive wooden confessional in the rear of the church. Stop in for mass or just to view the architecture.

Always love being able to attend Mass in new towns. The stained glass was gorgeous from the inside and red brick gorgeous from the outside.
