See this while you can!

Take a trip with COA to get there, pick shells and relax on a private beach. I can't believe how beautiful it is!

When this light house was built it was on solid ground. Now it's out in the ocean on a sand bar. It's a good day trip for a family and a piece of southern history.

We are always looking to find Lighthouses so when personnel on the Charleston Water Taxi told Us about this one, we knew we had an afternoon mission. It is easy to locate at the end of James Island, past Folly Beach. Parking is limited (on the street) and there is a short walk out to the viewing area. This is... More

I took a marsh tour and our final stop was the lighthouse. We all jumped ship and started walking towards the lighthouse. The captain gave us 30 minutes to explore the beach and take photos of the lighthouse. You can get somewhat close but the sea separates you from the lighthouse. I did this activity solo but it would something... More

Morris Island is great place to photograph the lighthouse. Although I maybe a bit biased because it is where I got engaged to my wife.

Very nice walk to see the lighthouse. No where to part was part of our problem coming from Folly Beach. The butterflies were beautiful walking down to see it. You couldn't get up close to see it.

Lighthouse that is several hundred yards out to sea. Illustrates the power of erosion. But has also survived several hurricanes. Can be seen easily from Folly beach, SC. Please don't walk out to it. The rip currents are dangerous, and it may fall anytime.

Nice walk. Worthwhile if you want to do some outdoor things in Charleston especially in spring or fall.

Wonderful surprise ! We found this spot accidentally and were so happy we did . Short walk to the beach to see the lighthouse also watched a pod of dolphins swimming in the waterway between the shore and the lighthouse . Secluded not touristy and very beautiful !
