For the outdoor lover, make sure to come see this bridge and walk/run/jog the almost 5 miles. There is parking at a nearby gas station or you can venture under the bridge and park underneath. If you park underneath the bridge there is a small exercise trail leading to the walkway on the bridge. You can see Fort Sumter, the... More

This is a very beautiful bridge that connects Charleston SC to Mt. Pleasant, SC. It offers a spectacular view for passengers riding in a vehicle across the bridge! It also offers a pedestrian lane if you feel like a nice walk and can enjoy the beautiful views of the Charleston harbor and the Cooper River and Charleston's historical shore line.... More

My wife and I recently walked the bridge. It took us a total of 1 1/2 hours. From the top of the bridge, we saw the Yorktown, Fort Sumter, the Sullivan's Island lighthouse and downtown Charleston. Parking near the bridge was easy to find and free. It was a good walk that we really enjoyed. Try it!!

Everyone sees the Ravenel Bridge either from afar or by driving over it or even traversing on foot or bike. Now I love the bridge, it's a sight to see. If offers great exercise for those looking to jog, bike or even just walk. Don't be fooled, it's a leisurely stroll but please dress accordingly! You will need athletic shoes... More

I love walking the Ravenel. Here in the flat Lowcountry Charleston, we joke that it's our only hill. It's a nice uphill walk with beautiful views of the Charleston Harbour at the top. Definitely recommend it!

My family and I visited Charleston and in terms of navigation, it wasn't our finest hour. We ended up driving across this bride over 15 times in our week long visit. Some of those times when on purpose, some most definitely where not. Needles to say, cool looking bridge.

We drove over this bridge a number of times while visiting the area.I do not like bridges but this was not the case with this bridge. Very high and very well constructed. Gets you from point a to point b rather fast.
