Pack a lunch and take a stroll. Just a block or so from downtown Clemson. Shaded, meandering trail that has you walking alongside and over lake hartwell.

Not worth making a special trip for. Just ok, nothing special. It is on the water, and most of the walk is in the shade, but that is about it.

I enjoy going there with a sack lunch, for a stroll, or to merely sit and swing. The boardwalk makes for easy walking. Not much parking. Don't expect green space as in most parks, as the boardwalk is the main feature.

Take time to explore this lovely waterfront park - stroll the boardwalks or just sit on a bench to read your favorite book or enjoy the water. There are also a few picnic tables if you have packed a lunch or have a few minutes...More

I come here often either alone or with my 8 year son to fish. I've also brought dates for moon lit walks along the lake. Place worked great for both activities.

The boardwalk in Abernathy Waterfront Park is a great part of the attraction of this place. After high rainfall Hartwell Lake is several feet above full so much of the boardwalk is under water. It's interesting to see but requires care to walk on it.

This is a nice park to take a stroll, even better when the water level in the lake is up. But with instances of flooding that put the boardwalks underwater a couple of times in the past few years, much of the wooden walkway has...More

Quiet little park to relax, picnic, or just walk through and enjoy nature.some paths could be better marked as one dead ends at playground and another at back of business. Was a great place to spend time away from campus and football crowd.

Cleaner than you would think for a college town environment, walkways themselves are very well maintained and in good shape, plenty of trash cans and places to sit or swing, but truly this is not a park in the traditional sense, there are no places...More
