This park is after paid the entrance fee used for camping and hiking. The trails are colored so you can’t impossible get lost. There are about 7 trails varie from 0.4 - 1.5 mile.

I don't recall seeing a rental car provider anywhere on the island. The nearest place might be in Hollywood or West Ashley. You'd probably have to stop there first and pick up the car, but that's a guess.
