My family loved our visit to the Garden City Pier. My son loved looking for shells and little crabs. Next year we are going to fish off the pier when we visit. It's open late and you can fish till 4am, I believe.

After seeing that the restaurant is open 24 hours, we went in around 10:00 on a weekend and in the restaurant they were mopping the floors. We asked if we could get something to eat and the lady was really rude saying we are closing...More

Definitely worth the stop. Something for everyone -- arcade, ice cream,. fishing or people watching on the pier, live music, bar--- it's all there. Very casual.

Restaurants, games, fishing and fishing supplies. This is a fun place for all. The kids really enjoyed the arcade and this pier is one of the few left that allows you to walk it without cost!

Went at sunrise to fish. Staff was more then helpful. Rates were reasonable and the fishing was awesome. The "regular" fishermen at the pier were friendly and more then willing to share tips. Even got to see a few sharks go after the fish being...More

We went mid day for fishing and back later that night for the arcade and more fishing. Parking in the area is crazy but we found a space under the pier both trips. Just be persistent and circle through a couple times. It's pretty dated...More

As far as the fishing questions, I have no idea. I'm not a fisherwoman. However, check the internet and I'm thinking there may be a website with the information you are wanting.
