My family recently went to the main Hobcaw Barony house through a boat tour that started in Georgetown and up to the plantation and then back again - all in all about 3 hours. Both the boat and house tours were amazing. History brought alive...More

It is best to book online in advance, they run two tours a day in the Summer months - with nothing in the afternoon. There is a introduction video/talk and then you take to the minibus to the estate and heading to the house. Very...More

Nice folks in the discovery center but after driving hours to discover that one cannot solo tour the territory, I was vastly disapointed. Reason: roads too rough for ordinary vehicles. Well, either fix the roads or create more tours. Bummer!More

Hobcaw Barony Visitors Center is a center full of informative information regarding the area both past and present. Taking the Hobcaw Barony tour was great!

There are no standard tours scheduled on Mondays, Tours are conducted on Tuesday through Saturday. That means the 27th is out. However the Visitor Center is open and there is a lot of information available, If you can make... More
