This place does NOT live up the hype, there really isn't much to see and they're not very nice. The clincher, I decided to purchase a china berry bracelet for $10.00,(a gift for my daughter who loves Georgetown) so I placed it on the counter...More

We had an extremely knowledgeable and informative guide showing us the displays and telling us about how rice was grown in the coastal SC plantations. As a rice lover, I especially enjoyed it!

The tour of the building and its displays was enhanced by the docent who escorted us. She was informative and cordial at the same time. The associated shop is something of a mystery that included a strange variety of merchadise, but there was no pressure...More

Our guide was very informative and told us more about growing rice in Georgetown County than we ever knew. Unlike reviewer Plant-Nut, we thought the dioramas are very impressive. The museum is a nice experience for only $7.
