Very interesting peek into a world you probably know little about or would think at all worth knowing about. Tour guide knew his subject and inspired me to go out and purchase a bag of fluffy whie Carolina rice.

Georgetown is a small town full of history. Once the largest rice and indigo exporter in the colony. The cost of $7 per adult for a short guided tour is a bit pricey. You can do the whole museum under an hour. The recovered ship...More

I'm not sure how interesting this tour would be without Wally, but he certainly made it interesting for our group. The tour lasts about an hour or so and includes a nice video. It also includes some time on your own in a small museum...More

One hour guided tour very educational. 3 generations and we all enjoyed it and learned something. Would liked to hav had a little more time to look at som of the exhibits

Our docent was very interesting but most of what she had to say was repeated in the video. I knew very little about the rice industry in South Carolina so it was informative but the displays are a bit tied.

Great way to spend an hour while in Georgetown! Our tour guide, Zenobia, was knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting history about the region and how rice became a Low Country staple.
