I really enjoy visiting this garden area. I call it secret because it can easily be missed off of the beginning of Rt197 heading north into Calabash. Beautiful woods, walking trails, and a winding road lead down to the marshes along the ICW. A nice, tranquil area with benches, wooden walking bridges, a swing, etc. Look for the special shell... If you go for a hike here, you can take a trail down to the pier at the water. It is mostly shaded and a good activity for a hot day. You can also walk on trails up to the cemetery. There is a place for picnic.

This is a nice garden park. It is easy to find just off of US 17. It is between 17 and the Intracoastal Waterway so it you walk along the waterfront you can get some nice views of boats going up and down the waterway. A great place to walk your dog and take some nice photos.

We've been past this park a 100 times and never when in until this week. WOW what a find, we loved walking round this area. The trail are well marked and easy to walk. There are decking going over the mash and they have many signs with info for you about the mash land. The park is open until sunset.

This is a lovely park with bathroom accommodations & nice walking trails through wooded areas to the Intra-coastal waterway - BUT...take your bug spray! I was eaten up by the "no-see-ems" on my visit & I'm not sure that I will go back again. But if these rascals don't bother you - you will certainly enjoy the visit!! :) My... More

Quiet, beautiful park setting with plenty of hiking trails through woods, over salt marsh (boardwalk) and along the ICW for a relaxing stroll.

Wonderful nature trails with many interpretive signs, fishing on the intercoastal is possible (supply your own license and gear). Lots of benches are available for your pleasure and marsh walk is one of the best i've visited.

Lots of wooded trails as well as boardwalk over the marsh. Peaceful little park with picnic tables and swings. Also an interesting family cemetery for Vereen and Horry families with graves back to the revolutionary war
