Its a bunch of docks over the marsh. The picture you see here is the only pretty spot you will see. Don't know what the big draw is. I happen to be a person that loves outdoors and untouched beauty. But this is a marsh with a dock.

Enjoyed a couple hours here my husband. Walked the boardwalk, enjoyed the water, the birds, the shrimp boats, and even saw a dolphin! It's free & beautiful; what's not to like?

After eating at Shem Creek we took a walk along this nice little boardwalk. It stretched all the way out to the inlet. You could see all the restaurants, boats, pelicans & sometimes even some dolphins along the creek. Near the end, you see marshland and some fiddler crabs. Very peaceful walk that circles around back to the parking lot.... More

Our dog asked, "Can't we go somewhere for me?" She was tired being left in the nice hotel room, while we enjoyed visiting many sights in the historic city. It was time to take her for an outing. We decided to go to the boat dock, and was pleasantly surprised to see Shem Creek Park along side the marina. The... More

My wife and I were in Charleston for our weeklong vacation. We were driving through Mount Pleasant and Shem Creek popped up. Why not? What a wonderful, relaxing time we had walking the wooden boardwalk, smelling the water, seeing the shrimping boats and watching folks paddle board, kayak and fish. As you walk, you may hear "popping" sounds from the... More

Shem Creek Park is one of my favorite places in the world. The walkway is well kept and you can watch all sorts of wildlife from it. Biggest bonus for me is watching the dolphins in the Creek. It is amazing to watch the shrimp boats come in and dock too. Very peaceful and inspiring place.

The title says it all. You walk along a wooden walkway over swamp with nothing to see but uniform grass until you get to the harbor. After looking at the harbor, you walk back to your car.
