If you love hiking and love falls you'll love this one. It's about a mile and a half to the falls. Just a stones throw away from the Stumphouse Tunnel on the other side of the road is the trail for the Yellow Branch Falls. The trail is well kept and wide enough for you comfortable maneuver. Don't look like... More

I'm a mostly sedentary, out-of-shape dad and me and my three kids (10, 8 and 4) did this hike the summer of '16. I carried the 4-year-old on my shoulders about a third of the hike but the older two did just fine. Better than me in fact. It was a fun hike, lots of variety and even in the... More

I love all the falls in this area, but some are just really enchanting. This is one of them. Can be slightly tough coming back up for people who don't hike very much, but not a very steep trail. Love this one!

This is actually a two mile hike in and a two mile hike out, which is longer than stated in the brochure. You will have three water crossings, three bridges, and, there are a couple of places that are a little treacherous. Here you step over roots and you are very close to the edge of the mountain. The waterfall... More

Yellow Branch Falls is a 50' cascading waterfall that is beyond beautiful. Hiking approximately 1.5 miles one-way through serene forest, this trail has some narrow uneven terrain and is considered to be 'moderate' in difficulty. There are three primitive creek crossings with stepping stones that keep hikers relatively dry and three foot bridges. The reward for your effort is an... More

We are trying to see most of the waterfalls in this area and we love this one! It is in our top 5. Inspired: the falls themselves Atmosphere: nature at its best. A great place for everyone! Parking: nice small lot at entrance Discovered: heard about from locals Return: yes!!

The books rate this three mile round trip hike moderate. As a hiker, I would call it a little easier than that. There is a nice picnic area close to the parking lot and I find the whole walk really pretty.

This was such a nice hike and our dog loved it. It's about a 2 mile hike to the falls. Perfect during fall; nice color and lots to look at. I think we were the only ones there, which was an added bonus!

This was an awesome sight! The hike was very relaxing not too challenges to get there. The changing colors or the leaves definitely made this a tranquil hike. We came on Halloween and we got there right as about 50 were leaving! This appears to be a very popular sight even on the holidays. We came around 3pm. These beautiful... More

A great, fun, and well-maintained and easy to follow trail. Fabulous falls view and a great place to get away and enjoy for a couple of hours.
