An out of the way gem. We enjoyed the quiet walk on the beach even if it was very cold and windy but the best and most unexpected sight was the Huntington home. The $2.00 per person admission is well worth it. Such a nice surprise to tour. Myrtle Beach is so touristy that it was really nice to find... More

Beautiful well kept park and beach. Wish they didn't have a private event going on so we could have gone in but the outside was interesting. Lots of shells and the sun was shining brightly - what could be better!

We enjoyed walking on the trails and just sight-seeing. Beautiful beach and clean facilities. Nice place to relax and look for shells as the crowd is not that large.

This continues to be the best beach in this area. Less crowded, great amenities, showers and bathhouses.

Our pass from Myrtle Beach State Park permitted us access to Huntington Beach State Park. We spent the better part of a day walking along the beach (we were there in Feb and it was still somewhat cool) and walking the trails. Be forewarned that the brackish water by the causeway is home to alligators! We saw one sunning and... More

We are from Ohio and our state parks do not charge admission so we are always disappointed that some states do, but usually the parks that charge have more to offer and this one does. The admission fee is $5.It has a nature facility, gift shops, and clean restrooms. There are several nature walks and board walks across the marsh. You... More

The admission is I believe $ 3.50 for seniors. I would definitely take the tour of the Huntington winter home while you are there. It is very interesting. The tour is only $ 2.00. We were there on a warm day in February. Nice walking trails, a few shorter ones for older folks. The beach is about a a 5... More

We camped in the area for "Rustic Tent Sites." Unlik the ide-open RV loops, the 6 tent sites are in the woods and screened for privacy. You have to lug your gear from the parking area, but it is not far. There is just one water source, at the parking area. The park is well run and the beach is... More

I Tent camped in the campground. It had a 30 amp service and close to the restrooms. My electric fan/heater kept me warm in February and the sites were half priced. I enjoyed biking the park and riding on the beach. The dry sand is always too soft.DO NOT expect to check in before 2pm. There are grocery stores and... More
