We were at Huntington Beach specifically to look for SHELLS. The entrance fee is $5.00/person. $3.50/person if a South Carolina Senior Citizen. The Beach Pass is also good the same day at Myrtle Beach State Park. We traversed most of the beach, 1st on the north end then later on the south end. The makeup of the beach was about... More

Want to get away from the crowds on the beach? If your willing to take a little walk you can do just that!!!! Great park!!!! Restrooms do need a bit of touching up. They're just a little outdated. That's the only reason i gave it a four instead of a five.

We spent five nights in our RV. Sites were roomy and some have sewer hook ups. The beach is reached by a path from the campground and dog are allowed. It was a great week. The only downside was the bath house nearest to us was closed for renovations. Wi Fi is only available at the restrooms, bath house. The... More

We spent a week in the Surfside Beach area and this Park was our go-to get-away. We enjoyed the hard-pack sand beaches, great for biking and beach-combing. The bike trails were packed with wildlife and natural beauty. If you are a camper you have lots of options to choose from, rustic to improved. This park takes pride in this natural... More

Our favorite state park, the beach is beautiful and we have stayed here several years in a row, reservations are hard to get for a 50amp sites. They mile walk to the jetty is well worth it. Take binoculars, I saw my first sea turtle in the ocean

Walked on the beautiful beach on a cool and windy day. Also visited the area where they are increasing the oyster population. It was very interesting to walk out to the end while the tide was low. The different birds that flew by were a sight to watch.

This is a fantastic place to take your (leashed and well-behaved) dog on a family holiday. We enjoyed the boardwalk through the swamp, so much to snifff, so little time! ; ) There were no cuckleburrs, which is sometimes an issue in the Myrtle Beach area. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

I love visiting Huntington Beach State Park! You can camp on site or visit for the day. The beaches are amazing-white, powerful sand and lots of trails for hiking and biking. The campgrounds get very crowded so you may want to book early to reserve a site. It's a perfect location for exploring the area. Enjoy the beautiful and magical... More

A great beach for walking or just relaxing. Many different trails and walkways. Several observation locations for viewing wild life and scenery. Bike friendly and pet friendly at certain times of the day and year. The old castle is interesting. It used to be free but now they charge for it.
