We hiked for a couple hours then walked a couple miles on the beach. So far, this is the only beach that does not restrict dogs. We had a blast!

We have visited Huntington Beach State Park many times. The beauty and natural landscape of this park is breathtaking. Wildlife, native plants, trees, and grasses, wide, pristine beaches.. It's absolutely beautiful.shout out to all the Park Rangers and staff. You should all be so proud. Heavenly piece of paradise...

The history of Atalaya, plus the quiet, peaceful beach and marsh - this is a great place to visit! We will revisit the next time we're in the area.

If you're a birder, the Causeway, the Nature Center boardwalk, the Atalaya/Mallard Pond path, and the North Beach walk to the Jetty (1.3 miles each way!) are all excellent birding sites. I suggest going birding at North Beach about an hour after low tide, because there will be more wading birds and peeps in the marsh by the jetty at... More

We love this park! Beautiful green open areas, plenty of camping space, and gorgeous beach with restrooms, shade, and fresh water. Great location for families to visit Myrtle Beach.

They have a wonderful beach, its busy but not packed. The sand is brown so that means to carry flee spray, and sun screen. They have facilities and life guards. You can fish, swim, paddle board. Lots of fish, birds, squirrels, wildlife and trails.

Visited the beach briefly one day to check it out and see if we wanted to come back. Went back the next day and spent entire day on the beach. Not too long of a walk from parking area to the beach. Beach area was very clean and not too crowded. Bring your own coolers, chairs, etc. Restrooms clean and... More

Great state park! Must visit Atalaya! Great beach! Good fishing! An area where you can find an area that is not crowded. Wonderful place to hike, visit a marsh, bird watch, and see alligators in their environment.
