One of the anchor's of the Myrtle Beach oceanfront, the Gay Dolphin has delighted generations of customers since 1946. The most unique gift shop on the Grand Strand, it has twenty-six thousand square feet of fun spread over seven levels. Located directly on the new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk between Mr. Joe White Avenue and 9th Avenue North, just south of Plyler Park. The Gay Dolphin is now wheelchair accessible! An elevator lift was installed in March/April of 2015, which allows wheelchair access to 85% - 90% of the store.

We had a great time getting lost inside this cavernous gift shop. All 5 in our party found something interesting to buy! Good old fashioned tourist trap stuff. Loved it!

Imagine Owen Wilson saying "wow", that's the reaction we first had walking into this place. I'm still not sure we saw everything. Multiple floors of knick knacks. My favorite was the unexpected I Love Lucy merchandise. The Gay Dolphin has a little bit of everything,...More

Found something for everyone and souvenirs for people back home. Even found a net that looked like sponge bobs jelly fishing net. Worth the stop.

We went in to find a hat, not knowing what we were getting ourselves into. This place is insane, overwhelmingly big, ups and downs, SO much stuff. If you are looking for shells, this is the place. If you are looking for ugly mermaid statues,...More

A great place to poke around for an hour or 2. Massive gift shop with so much variety. Everything from crappy little trinkets to expensive art & decor. There’s so much to see here. Just a cool place!

The amount of stuff in this store is insane. They definitely have something for everyone. We will have to come back again to finish looking. It was a fun stop, friendly staff, and decent prices.

The gay dolphin has a parking lot that is behind the ripley haunted attraction. During the summer there is an all day fee, but during the winter months it is free. Yes, they have a parking lot.
