We stayed in cabin #2. It was well kept and cozy. It gave you a sense of privacy and was peaceful and quiet, for most of the stay. The cabins are directly in the take-ff and landing flight path of the airport. Huge and very loud airliners fly directly over the cabins during our stay It really spoils the peaceful... More

We love this area of MB, especially spending time on the pier watching what the fishermen pull in. Saw them catch and release a HUGE shark a few years ago.

Take the short hike from the Nature center through the Coast untouched forest and emerge at the coast. Nice pier to watch the fishermen.

First trip to the beach while in South Carolina and it was gorgeous! There was a little gift shop with souvenirs. Our resort had free passes for us to get in

This is the third state park in South Carolina we have camped in, and all have been very nice. There is a lovely entrance, nice beach, good washrooms, nice day use area, and okay sites. The only negative is the size of the sites could be a bit larger, and the map you use to book your site online is... More

If you're looking for some green space, this is the place. Sure, there is a beach and fishing pier, but after spending a lot of time on the beach, it was nice to get away from the tourist areas. Granted, most of the area is geared toward tourists, but we enjoyed the nature area and a more peaceful environment.

$5 each to get in, but ticket is good for Hunnington Beach admission as well, so that worked out good. You're likely going to have to pay for parking anyways somewhere along the line, so not out of line. Decent beach & boardwalk.

Beautiful park, beautiful views and so much more. Looks like you can camp in the campground or just spend the day lounging on the beach.Nice little gift shop on site. Found it a bit strange to see large airplanes heading towards the shore (there is an airport super close) but probably only because I'm used to other beaches without much... More
