T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station is quite possibly the country's only FREE living tiger museum. Located inside Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, SC, it offers families the opportunity to see tigers up close, through glass, absolutely free of charge. For those interested in meeting a tiger or an ape in person, we offer (for a fee)the opportunity to pose with one of the animal ambassadors for a photo. The animals spend only a couple hours per day, in the late afternoon, at T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station and funding generated from our photos and gift shop sales help support various wildlife conservation projects we conduct worldwide through our Rare Species Fund. We are open from mid-March to mid-October and hours of operation can be found by calling our listed telephone number.

It was expensive for 5 minutes with the animals and the line was very long. But, when you get to feed the young tiger cubs and pet the monkeys, it is worth every penny.

We did not do the photos as they were expensive and the line was long. But we did watch the tigers through the glass for free and they were so fun and playful! They were actually so close too!!

My wife and I did both the daytime and night time safari and both are equally amazing. It is two different learning programs, so they are in fact different. The staff are always willing to assist in answering any questions and are very friendly. The...More

We didn't pay to hold the animals and get pictures, as we felt it was quite expensive, but we enjoyed watching others and just watching all of the animals playing and interacting. Worth a visit for this if nothing more.

How wonderful is it to see these beautiful, endangered animals up close while contributing to a great charity. We choose the tiger encounter with photo and enjoyed a tiger, monkey and a wolf! It would be nice if we had a little more one on...More

It was expensive but after our encounter we believe it was well worth it. We know exactly were the money goes. The animals were awesome and very entertaining.

I read a lot of reviews before going to do this. I was a little concerned with how rushed everyone made it sound. You could definitely tell the staff had a system, bringing in one animal, taking another out. They do a great job with...More

The baby animals they have vary. I've been there a couple of times and they had different animals both times. There were some chimps when we last visited, but there weren't babies. The monkeys you got to hold for pictures... More

You can't take your own pictures, but they take pictures of your entire group during the visit. At the end, you can purchase a CD of all the pictures taken. It's ~$200 for the CD, but there are a lot of pictures on it... More
