T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station is quite possibly the country's only FREE living tiger museum. Located inside Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, SC, it offers families the opportunity to see tigers up close, through glass, absolutely free of charge. For those interested in meeting a tiger or an ape in person, we offer (for a fee)the opportunity to pose with one of the animal ambassadors for a photo. The animals spend only a couple hours per day, in the late afternoon, at T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station and funding generated from our photos and gift shop sales help support various wildlife conservation projects we conduct worldwide through our Rare Species Fund. We are open from mid-March to mid-October and hours of operation can be found by calling our listed telephone number.

What a wonderful visit. I never imagined anything like this preserve. We had plenty of time for everything, snacks were great, and staff was fun!

its the next best thing to being in africa . seeing tigers in action, holding them, feeding them. plus watching an elephant drink 3 gallons of koolade in ten seconds. it was 5 hrs.of fun and excitement.

My family and I loved our tour here. Staff was pleasant and engaging. The wolves of course were the highlight, and we learned so much about them too. I can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed this so very much. It is pricy, but we interacted with many animals. I loved the baby tigers the most, and the elephant, and the orangutan!! The pictures were great too.

For a very reasonable fee a average person can spend time and love on these creatures of God. They love a life of royalty and are given a chance to live and be observed and interacted with. These trainers love the animals and they love...More

My son and I did both the VIP Tour and the photo shoot at the Preservation Station. While both are pricey, the money paid is well worth the benefits that reap from it. The tour guides, handlers and trainers were very nice and extremely knowledgeable....More

I love doing animal encounters this is a great beginner way to see if you want to handle tigers or any animal for that matter.

My daughter and I had a photo shoot with the tigers and an ape. It was an awesome experience. Also the tigers in the viewing area were so beautiful.

This was the best part of our trip, I will treasure our pictures. And if we ever go back when our kids are older I will try to do the full tour. It was an expensive activity, but where else can you hold a tiger!?!

I would also add that the two events take place in two different locations. The Preservation Station is located at the Barefoot Landing mall, which is slightly north of Myrtle Beach. This means you can build a visit into an... More
