Creepy but neat

This place has a creepy vibe but is still really cool. Best to visit in the early morning or evening when the light is right. I assume in the fog it would be really neat too. Nice place to stop but can't imagine spending more than 10-15 minutes here.

There is a presence to this place. No problems with Skeeters in December. Watch your step as there are tree roots, some garbage, rocks and debris around. There is no interpretation other than the lone historical marker. So it leaves a lot to the imagination. Parking area is dirt.

This is definitely a neat attraction, if you like mysterious and somewhat moody places. I enjoy visiting ruins and imagining them in their heyday- and also thinking about the circumstances that have allowed them to fall into such disrepair yet keep them standing against all the elements. Ruins of churches seem even more poignant to me, especially whem, as with... More

A small historical site, but filled me with a spiritual feeling. The ruins are beautiful and the small cemetary on the grounds was interesting. So glad we found out about this peaceful place.

Built around 1740, burned in a forest fire in 1886. So not much to see. Easy to get to, you can even view the church from the comfort of your car which is a good idea as there were mosquitos everywhere.

Good reminder of history and culture of the low country. Take your time and read the markers. Tour at your own pace. Warning: bring and use the bug spray.

This is a really cool place to check out and see how they made this place. The walls are covered in seashells and lime, which we where told was called tabby. Its cool to see ruins that date back to the 1740s. Overall, if you love old architecture, its worth checking out.

There is something about the Chapel of Ease that is so peaceful and scenically beautiful it's hard to describe. To stand there on a quite day and look up at the sky provided is magical.

This was a pretty creepy/cool site to see. I wouldn't plan out a trip just to see it but if you are in the area it would be a neat spot to check out.

It was a short and free visit, the church ruins still had some supporting timber remnants around the windows... The Chruch was built in the 1700's . If not mistaken some of the Fripp family was buried there. I assume the family had some influence on nearby nearby Fripp Island.
