The Charleston Tea Plantation is the home of American Classic Tea, tea grown in America. It is located on picturesque Wadmalaw Island in the heart of South Carolina's Lowcountry. Its grounds include 127 acres of Camellia Sinensis tea plants, a working Tea Factory and a charming Plantation Gift Shoppe. My first time to see tea plants and the tour was great. Got to see the factory, sample some tea and ride a open air trolley to see the farm. Also got to see the greenhouse and the grounds were pretty. A special place.

Lovely plantation with really good tea. Nice trolley tours with interesting tea growing information. Informative pleasant factory tour. Hostesses were friendly and helpful. Lovely gift shop with lots of unusual and interesting items. Well worth a visit for a couple of hours!!

We just wanted the quick ten minute overview, which was sufficient yet very knowledgeable and free! A nice gift shop for the tea lovers. Great stop in Charleston.

30 to 40 mins - but it is such a pretty drive - well worth it - tree lined, scenic and the plantation is also such a lovely place.
