We enjoyed our tour of the Broken Boot Gold Mine on our way to Deadwood, and the staff were very friendly and hospitable, giving us information the area. My kids, age 8, enjoyed panning for gold.

Great tour of a real mine, just the right length for kids. You get to walk through a real mine and hear about the miners only using candles to light their way and ate lunch in the dark.

This is a fun little tour of a old gold mine. You get to walk though the mine seeing how they use to mine by candle light or old lanterns using a chisel and hammer.

Visited Broken Boot Gold Mine just to see one. Kids panned and received "gold" in a small bottle, making their day. Tour was o.k. until we were plunged into darkness by tour guide when lights went off and her candle was "out" for too long.

Wheelchairs have gone through the mine. The first door is too small to accommodate but you can carry the chair up the stairs and fold it through the doorway and it will fit through the mine.
